Ordinance Would Regulate Metro Taxis

 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Metro Council is considering a new ordinance to reign in unregulated taxi cabs.

 The Nashville Business Journal reported several services are carrying passengers without insurance or oversight. That’s a risk for passengers and a competitive disadvantage for regulated taxi services.

The new ordinance would mandate all vehicles have insurance and prohibit limos from cruising or taking business on demand. Limos and other vehicles would also be subject to new fees NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Metro Council is considering a new ordinance to reign in unregulated taxi cabs.
