State-wide regulations on taxi safety move forward

 

NEW LENOX, Ill. — Trusting your driver is something many may consider, especially if the driver is a stranger.

With a bill recently passed by the Illinois House of Representatives, residents could feel more secure about who is driving their taxi.

House Bill 5486 requires all taxi cab drivers in Illinois to have valid driver’s licenses issued in the United States for three years and requires be 21 years of age and older.
